busy

doing his 100th squat for the day. this kid has buns of steel.
this seems to be my view most of the time now. charlie is loving pulling himself up on everything and anything these days. he is so strong and determined.
up and down, up and down, all day long.
he's also waving, hello and goodbye. i think mostly he does it when he wants something or someone.
hello there sweet boy. his hair is going blondish already.
the boys in stripes. jomar is such a help with his baby brother and charlie thinks that's great.
this is when tashi had just received her honor roll ribbon. her teacher had just put it around her neck. we are all so proud of this young lady.
all the graduates let their balloons go... symbolizing their journey ahead.

one of my favorite pictures... father's day. dad with his boys.
charlie is definitely gaining a bigger and bigger personality, for better or worse!
go get 'em tiger.

busy pretty much sums up life lately. charlie is busy growing, moving, smiling, rebelling, eating, growing teeth (i think... we still haven't seen proof, but he acts like he's teething some days) and crawling. he is now an expert. he can get from one place to the next in about a second. so we have to keep a close eye on this quick kid.
oliver has been busy with work and projects, me with work and home and the kids have been busy changing.
tashi graduated from high school this last month. it's amazing to me that oliver has a daughter that just graduated from high school. how is that possible? we are all so proud of her. she is so focused and beautiful. so grown-up and centered. it's pretty remarkable. she's getting geared up for college in the fall. she'll be going to st. john's on the mainland of belize for her first couple of years. we're hoping we'll get her into a college in the states by then. she wants to go explore more... i'm trying to support that as much as i can. she wants to be in utah... because one day, we'll be there too.
the boys also just graduated over the weekend, but i'll do a separate post for that one since it's quite significant for me and them and our relationships.
life seems to be moving full steam ahead right now. i can't seem to keep it all straight. one kid is coming, another going, charlie's doing both! oliver is in and out and we barely say a few words to each other. i am not complaining, busy is great! i simply have to remember to stop, and look at my baby boy. that is what keeps me grounded these days. it's not my yoga practice, although i would fall to pieces if i didn't do that. it's not my wonderful cup of morning coffee that holds me together, nope, it's my baby boy. one look at him, one smell of his hair, one giggle from his sweet voice, one glance of his ribs moving up and down while he's sleeping... and i'm home. he is my gauge, my compass. i feel whole with him in my life and i in his. i am blessed.
we head to utah in a couple weeks. i am thrilled to get up there. i LOVE summertime in the mountains. i will miss belize and my big boys and my cute husband. but, charlie needs to be in salt lake. he needs to be with his tt and papa and all of his other loved ones. hopefully oliver will be able to swing a short trip up to see everyone too! fingers crossed!

Busy, indeed!
Charlie~~what a little explorer. All that growing leaves a mama's heart full and weepy from happiness and a touch of sad, sad that time is moving quickly.
